We had an awesome week. We played with friends here @ our house almost everyday. We watched more Spongebob than any one family should have the pleasure of watching and we jumped on the trampoline, used our new telescope (annual Perseids meteor shower is coming up!) visited with Jess and Jules, played trains, went to the library, watched Leap Frog Talking Words Factory a jillion times, played in the hose, rode our bikes, played in the band...I am always amazed @ how much we do when we begin to list it.

One of the most interesting things that happened this week was lightening striking one of the trees in the front yard. I wanted to look up for info about lightening on the web but everyone was too busy playing in the downed tree. We began planning fall camping trips w friends. Right now it looks like we will be pretty busy in the coming months. Plans include Sea World with a stop @ some of the caves on the way and a side trip for local attractions in San Antonio, & Dinosaur Valley camping in the fall! Our family will also be going to Galveston @ some point and out to east Texas to the cabin. We are working on the fall garden (no really there will be a fall garden) and we are talking about the Polar Express train ride already!

Mady arrived home last night! Yeah! Everyone jumped up to hug her as soon as she walked through the door. It felt as though she was gone forever this summer. We visited the family for dinner and rode on the scooters and dirt bike @ my folks place. Apparently it was some kind of a record high here yesterday we didn't care. The kids were in and out of the house and the hose was on a few times as well. Mady mentioned she might be interested in checking out acting in some local shows. I know a couple of places to call so that is all we have planned today-oh I was just informed we may go to PetsMart as well.

Bragging on myself-I repaired our washer all by myself! Actually, it was just off balance so I had to pry the front of the washer off and put it back on track. There is a leak out back that I plan on tackling in the next week or so...with Papaw's help. The next time there is a leak I should be able to take care of it. We are still working on beginning our remodel. There are many little things around this old house that need fixin' so we are working on all those first. I will take some pix so we can have a before and after for the kids.

It is fun to sit down and plan somethings to do with the kids. We are all excited about future plans and look forward to hanging out with our friends and family as the weather begins to cool down (in October!)

You take great pictures!

The mentos/coke thing is awesome! I had heard about it before, but never actually seen what happens! Very cool!

Re: fixing the washer -- You Go, Girl!!! :-) I love it when women aren't afraid to do things that "most" people assume a man "must" do!!

And -- YEA!!! for Mady being home!!! It's got to feel good to have the whole family back together again. :-)
